Cycling around the city Old town of Split is mostly pedestrian and getting around it’s busy streets is so much easier when on bicycle. Hop on it and one moment you are at the green market stocking up on some ripen tomatoes and the next you are at your favorite café with your bike safely locked outside. Perfect! Visit Split beaches on our Spezialised MTB ! Located on the peninsula, Split is surrounded with beaches; pebble and sandy beaches with deck chairs and busy beach bars or cliffs and rocks to jump off –why not visit them all in one day. Promenade stretches both South and West from the city center. Bacvice, Firule, Trstenik and Znjan to the South – with busy beach bars and cafes, funky restaurants overlooking the water. Kasjuni and Kastelet, Bene bay to the West and little secluded bays and coves perfect for you to explore on our mountain bikes. Hop on our mountain bikes and explore its surroundings. Get on a boat to Ciovo peninsula and cycle to Our lady of Prizidnica monastery then fallow the dirt road back to Trogir and the boat back to Split. Board a ferry to island of Brac and cycle along the coast or further up inland and explore its vineyards and olive groves with a spectacular views of the main land and Biokovo mountains. Both can be done as day trips from Split, so you can be back in the vibrant old town just in time for an evening cocktail! Cycle towards Solin and explore ruins of an old roman city of Salona, once capital of Dalmatia province, or further up the mountains towards Klis fort where Game of Thrones were filmed. When renting our bikes, You will be asked to sign an agreement below:
BICYCLE RENTAL AGREEMENTRELEASE AND WAIVERI acknowledge that I am at least 18 years of age and, therefore, not required to wear a helmet to ride a bicycle under the law of the Republic of Croatia. Nevertheless, I understand that use of a helmet is highly recommended by Memento travel agency. Should I use the bicycle without a helmet, it is expressly understood that I will hold Memento travel agency harmless for any injuries I sustain that would have been prevented had I been wearing a helmet, and/or for any injuries that would have been less severe had I been wearing a helmet. I agree to comply with all applicable local, state rules, and regulations. Any infractions of such local, state rules or regulations are my responsibility, including paying fines, fees or bicycle impoundment costs.
I agree to be responsible for the repair or replacement cost of the bicycle. Likewise, the bicycle is not intended for use with a motor and I will not install or attempt to install any motor on the bicycle. I agree not to carry, tow, or pull individuals while riding the bicycle, nor will I allow the bicycle to be towed by any person, vehicle, or other object. I acknowledge that I am capable of operating the rental bicycle.
I agree to look over the bicycle before I rent it and that my taking of the bicycle from the rental location signifies my agreement that the bicycle is fit for use.
I understand that I am responsible for the condition of the bicycle for the duration of the rental period. This includes repairs or replacement necessitated by any damage to the bicycle or mechanical failures, including, but not limited to, those resulting from improper maintenance or adjustments or use of the bicycle contrary to the terms of this Agreement. If the bicycle I rented requires any maintenance, I will be responsible for returning the bicycle to the location where I rented it. Memento travel agency reserves the right to exchange the bicycle I rented with another of the same specifications at any time.
I agree to store the bicycle under safe and secure conditions while not in use. UNDER NO EXCEPTION SHALL BICYCLES BE LEFT UNATTENDED AND UNLOCKED. I agree to always lock the bicycle to a bike rack, or other fixed immovable object when left unattended outside. I understand that locking the bicycle to itself (e.g., locking the wheel to the frame) is not an acceptable security measure.
To the extent permitted by law, I, for myself, my heirs, personal representatives or assigns, do hereby release, indemnify and agree to hold harmless and covenant not to sue, Memento travel agency, its directors, representatives, employees, agents, from any and all losses, costs, damages, claims, demands, rights and causes of action of whatever kind or nature, including reasonable attorney and expert fees, and including any and all negligence claims or causes of action, which may arise and which result from illness, personal injuries, property damage, death or of any other damages or injuries, not included herein, occurring during the bike rental period.
