During Summer, Split comes alive, especially on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Warm summer nights are ideal for a great nightlife. You know the scenario: colorful cocktails, music and dancing till dawn.

When visiting, you will find out that Split's old town closes at around 2 pm. If you want to spend the night within the walls of palace, we recommend bars Ghetto, Puls and Fluid near Piazza(“Pjaca”), Red Room and Irish Pub on Carrarina square (“Caranina poljana”), and Gaga near Peristil. You can have a drink in one of the bars or enjoy one of many local acts that can be seen performing everywhere; along the Riva and in the Peristil.

If you decide to visit a night club, a place to visit is the complex of bars, cafes and restaurants at Bacvice. The complex is situated near the bus station, beyond the small, sandy Bacvice beach, just 10 minutes from the palace. It's an establishment on three floor; on the ground floor there are many bars with outdoor seating just 3 meters from the sea.

On the first floor there are two big clubs with dancing music; Tropic and Bacvice, and if you're hungry you can go on the third floor and find couple of restaurants and fast foods.

Tropic Club Equador is located in the popular beach BaÄvice. One of the favorite haunt of the Split youth. Popular among the student population for the Wednesday program is designed just for them. The Tropic Club Equador-in on Fridays and Saturdays are held at night disco with guest performances by numerous local performers

Just 10 minutes from Bacvice you can find 2 more clubs. The first one “Ovcice” is more of a outdoor bar but with live music and concerts every weekend and the other “O’hara” is the most popular place to go out in the summer for local boys and girls.

On the other side of Split, near the stadium you can visit clubs Vanilla and Hemingway. Fridays are reserved for concerts and Saturdays for clubbing and disco music.

For those who prefer a more peaceful type of entertainment with cultural manifestation, we suggest visiting some of the shows on Split summer, a cultural festival where you can see good theater and recitals. There are also vocal singing concerts by vocal groups called "klape" , museums or permanent exhibitions in town galleries.
