Krka National Park

The Krka National Park is located in the central part of Dalmatia, around the river of Krka occupying an area of ​​109 km2. This Park is very rich in flora and fauna and the River road makes many gorges in the limestone and overcomes many obstacles to waterfalls, cascades and rapids. The Krka National Park is a very popular destination for many tourists from around the world. Close to the Krka National Park you will find a place called Skradin. The Water is rushing into the system depth of 37.5 m. The most interesting part of the Park is accessible by a cruising boat. The Park was established in 1985 and is cca 100 km far away form Split Croatia. To access this place by car you would need 1,5 hours.

Transport

There are three points of entry to explore the Krka National park but the most popular one is from Skradin where the boat leaves every hour bringing you to the most popular place with waterfalls called Roski Slap

Srounding Attractions

Near Knin and its surrounding area is a 22 meters high waterfall Biluscica. Further down the river is another lake with a waterfall. The river is passing 4 another waterfalls Brljan, Manojlovac 62 m high, cascading waterfall Rosnjak and 24 meters high waterfall Miljacka. River continues to 7 km long and narrow gorge and waterfall Roski Slap. Waterfall rapids are 650 meters. This waterfall is known for being the best. Nearby, water mills are interesting. Then the water spills into the lake Visovac. In the middle of the lake is an island with a Franciscan monastery. Then follow up Skradin waterfalls. Krka National Park is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Croatia .
