“Galija” (eng. Galley), a little pizzeria in the center of Split near Prokurative, serves without doubt the best pizzas in town, as well as delicious pasta dishes and a range of salads. Konoba (eng. Tavern)” Varoš” (named by one of the old parts of Split) is a traditional Dalmatian konoba, with a fishing themed interior, placed in a small alley near Marmontova street. This place is also a regular hot spot for locals who play cards, therefore it’s easy to find and recognize. Here you can order meat or octopus made under grill (“ispod peke”), “pašticada”, or seafood risottos. Their wine list is also very extensive making this a good choice for wine lovers.
